

Curt Cornwell is a Partner within Pricewater-house-Coopers Transaction Service practice where he advises both hedge funds and private equity funds on transactions, including those involving distressed targets. He is a member of the Firm’s Private Equity Sector Council.
His M&A focus includes business and financial due diligence, operational analysis, and transition matters - especially in distressed situations. He has in-depth experience helping both financial sponsors and strategic buyers evaluate controlling interests and/or minority investments in both private and public companies. During his 15 years of deal-related experience, Curt has helped buyers analyze and structure over 150 public and private deals ranging in size from $75 million to $17 billion. His industry experience includes consumer and industrial products, services, retail, financial services and technology.
Selected clients include Cerberus Capital Management, Och-Ziff Capital, Elliott Capital, IBM Corporation, Corning Inc., Avis Budget Group, McCormick & Co., Hershey Corporation, and New Page Corporation.
Curt received his MBA in finance from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and B.S. in accounting from Bucknell University. He is the Chair of Bucknell’s Business School Advisory Board, and is also a Certified Public Accountant and member of the AICPA and ABI.
